Protect Your Pet!

How We Help

We offer Flea & Heartworm Preventatives to better protect your pet against parasites. We offer these at a low cost to help our clients give the best care possible to their companion animals.

The Importance of Preventatives

Parasite prevention is an important part of keeping your pet healthy. Fleas, Ticks, Mosquitoes, and Intestinal Parasites can cause a wide range of health issues, from skin irritation to potentially deadly issues like heartworm disease and lyme disease.

How To Get Your Pet's Preventative

  •  If your pet has been here before, we only need to have their current weight to sell feline and canine Flea Medications.
  • If your pet has not been here before, please bring proof of your pet’s spay/neuter surgery (Rabies Certificate, Vet Record, Etc.). We only sell discounted medications for spayed or neutered animals.
  • For canine Heartworm Preventative, your dog must have had a negative heartworm test within the year and have been on Heartworm Preventive every month since then. You can get a heartworm test at PAL during a scheduled vaccination appointment. We do not fill prescriptions for online heartworm medication; please see your full service veterinarian if you participate in an online program.
  • If you had a heartworm test done at your full service vet, just bring your pet's record, or we can call your vet to obtain the result.
